Wisconsin Super Lawyers Rising Star (Eight time recipient)

As a business litigator, Chad often assists clients in their most challenging of times.  Over the course of his career, he’s learned to tailor his strategy to efficiently achieve client goals.

He represents a wide range of clients in state and federal courts throughout Wisconsin.  Chad provides guidance to financial institutions, manufacturers, and construction companies, as well as businesses in a variety of other industries and is regularly called upon to conduct risk assessments or explore early resolution of disputes.  However, if a case goes to trial, arbitration, or administrative proceedings, he is prepared to advocate for his client’s needs in earnest.  Recent representations have involved:

  • Defending a financial institution against claims for fraud, civil theft, and violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act;
  • Defending Intentional tort claims including conversion and intentional interference with contractual relationship;
  • Defending an equipment installer against claims under Wisconsin’s theft by contractor statute;
  • Misrepresentation claims;
  • Construction disputes;
  • Representing parties regarding loss of cargo claims and the Carmack Amendment;
  • Appellate advocacy; and
  • Claims for breach of contract and breach of warranty.

Out of Ruder Ware, Chad enjoys running, camping and golfing (when he can control his errant shots).
