Taxpayer Bill of Rights – On Tuesday, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) unveiled the new and improved “Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights.” Unbeknownst to most taxpayers, the Internal Revenue Code actually sets forth rights of taxpayers (who knew!). The IRS touts that the new Bill of Rights will make it easier for taxpayers to understand their rights when dealing with the IRS. The new Bill of Rights will be sent with all IRS notices including an audit or collection notice. If you are curious or you do not expect to receive an IRS notice (no one ever does), click to learn about Your Rights as a Taxpayer.
