Maintaining equanimity is a skill Ashley has honed through the years as she’s guided clients through emotionally intense situations.

At Ruder Ware, Ashley works closely with individuals and families to design plans customized to their life situation, their goals, and their values.  This often includes drafting powers of attorney, wills, trusts and other planning documents, as well as formation of entities for estate and business succession purposes, asset protection, and legacy planning.

Ashley frequently provides counsel on:

  • General and complex estate planning
  • Estate and gift tax planning
  • Probate and guardianship avoidance
  • Guardianships for disabled children becoming adults
  • Elder law guardianships
  • Probate and trust administration
  • Planning for unique beneficiary situations such as disability, divorce, or substance abuse issues
  • Estate and fiduciary litigation
  • Farm succession planning
  • Pre- and post-nuptial agreements

Due to her calm demeanor, Ashley is often called on to help resolve conflicts that arise after the passing of a loved one.  Often this is in the role of court appointed fiduciary or as a mediator.  She facilitates communication, works to resolve conflict, and advocates for mutually acceptable solutions when collaborating with family members to settle a contentious estate.

Beyond the office, Ashley cherishes moments spent with her husband and their two children. When they’re not cheering at a variety of sporting events, the family retreats to their cabin on Pelican Lake, where they spend their time making family memories.
