Mykayla (“Mickie”) believes that good planning is ultimately about people – their families, their businesses, and the legacies they hope to leave behind.
She works with clients across all stages of life, from young individuals and couples creating their first estate plans to business owners and older clients focused on long-term wealth transfer and legacy preservation.
At Ruder Ware, Mykayla’s practice includes:
- Drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other estate planning documents
- Forming and structuring entities for estate and business planning purposes
- Guiding clients through gifting and transferring assets
- Assisting with the administration of estates and trusts
In addition, farm succession planning is a meaningful focus of her practice. Having grown up on a multi-generational dairy farm and earned her undergraduate degree in Agricultural Business, Mykayla understands both the practical and emotional realities of transitioning a farm to the next generation. She is passionate about helping agricultural families protect their operations, preserve family harmony, and ensure their legacy continues for years to come.
Outside of her work at Ruder Ware, Mykayla values time spent with her husband and daughter, remains connected to the family dairy operations, and enjoys traveling, both internationally and state-side.
