Where we are located:

We are located in the Dudley Tower in beautiful downtown Wausau. Our modern and comfortable office space is located on the River Walk and overlooks the Granite Peak ski hill, the Wisconsin River, and the vibrant downtown. We currently occupy the 8th and 9th floors of the building which offer a spectacular view during all seasons of the year. There are also several restaurants within walking distance, not to mention convenient proximity to the events held on the 400 Block.

Why we are looking for YOU:

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join the team in our Wausau office. We are looking for YOU because you are a self-starter with a passion for process improvements and because you are a problem solver who provides excellent internal customer service to our attorneys and staff in all offices and remote locations. This position will report to the IT Operations Director, and works in conjunction with the IT Infrastructure Director.

What we expect:

The candidate must have strong technical ability and be able to follow direction. This position requires travel to our four offices at least one time per month. The candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, initiative, and the ability to effectively communicate and respond courteously to incoming requests.

What you will do on any given day:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve end user IT problems and ensure operation of personal computers and other equipment.
  • Resolve printer malfunctions and jams.
  • Install software and set up new users.
  • Maintain inventory of computer parts and log of all repairs and service performed.
  • Respond to queries and address system and user issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Serve as first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance over the telephone, email, or in person.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.

What you’ll need:

  • High school diploma. Associate degree in computer science is preferred.
  • Excellent oral communication.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to multitask, organize, and coordinate work within deadlines.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills: a patient and attentive demeanor is essential, and the ability to strengthen internal relationships through teamwork.
  • Ability to deal discretely with sensitive financial and business information and maintain strict confidentiality of such information.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and conduct research into a wide range of computing issues.
  • Excellent computer hardware and software skills, including Microsoft products and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications:

Valid Wisconsin Driver License

Authorized to work in the United States
