McKenna has been very involved in both the National and Wisconsin Holstein Associations, was active in the FFA, and has exhibited numerous Junior All-American nominated Holstein and Red & White dairy cattle. This involvement has fostered a strong work ethic, a goal-driven approach, and chance to hone her organizational skills.

As an estate planning attorney at Ruder Ware, McKenna is committed to serving the agricultural community by helping farm families protect their legacies for future generations through succession planning and legacy preservation. Her practice includes:

• Assisting clients with estate planning, including drafting trusts, wills, and powers of attorney.
• Advising on irrevocable trusts for asset protection, medical assistance eligibility, and special needs planning.
• Supporting the firm’s elder law practice, including long-term care, Medicaid, and Wispact planning.
• Meeting with and strategically advising farm families on generational wealth transfers, including effectively transitioning the farm to the next generation.

Outside the office, McKenna enjoys riding, caring for, and showing her quarter horses. She also loves traveling to local, state, and national dairy cattle shows to support and watch her family’s animals compete. McKenna recently graduated from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where she was selected as the student commencement speaker and participated in the Legal Association of Women Students and Business Law Society.
