Recent Legislative Changes Impacting Local Governments.
The Legislature has passed approximately 275 bills over the last 18 months.  This presentation will address the most important legislative changes that impact local governments from workers compensation law changes to tax increment financing changes.  Ruder Ware attorneys will comment regarding the impact of these legislative changes on the provision of local government services.

Review of Laws Impacting Local Government Officials
Ruder Ware attorneys will discuss the various laws that impact elected officials and appointed officials of local governments.  Presentations will be made on the open meetings law, public records law and local officials code of ethics.  Presentations will also be made regarding intergovernmental cooperation agreements and local government immunity cases that impact the potential for lawsuits against local governments.  This is an excellent opportunity for attendees to question the impact of these laws on how local governments do business.

Open Forum On Local Government Issues.
Ruder Ware attorneys will be available to answer questions regarding topics of interest for local government officials.
