Employers must complete a Form I-9 (i.e., immigration) for all newly hired employees. We previously provided you with information in regard to the new I-9 form and the date it would be effective, today, February 2, 2009. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that it has delayed, by 60 days, until April 3, 2009, the effective date for using the revised form I-9. NOTE: Use of the new form before the new effective date could result in civil monetary penalties.
