Ruder Ware is Wisconsin’s largest
law firm headquartered north of Madison. The firm provides some of the
state’s best-known national and international companies with
prompt, practical, and affordable solutions. George L. Ruder
founded the firm in 1920. At the time, northern Wisconsin was home to many of the state’s
most successful entrepreneurs making their fortunes in the
growing lumber and paper industries. At first, the new firm
specialized in real estate and probate. A decade later, as a
direct response to client needs,
George Ruder began focusing on business law for more
comprehensive legal counsel on complex new
business regulations created by the New Deal. With legal
guidance from the firm, many small and medium sized
businesses throughout northern and central Wisconsin
thrived.
On July 1, 2005, we were
pleased to merge with the Garvey Anderson Law Firm in Eau Claire whose
commitment to the area remains steadfast.
Currently, the firm
has many clients who are small
businesses as well as many clients who have become major
companies serving national and international markets.
