Professional Experience:
Bryan represents management-side clients in the areas of employment and labor law and provides counseling and litigation services associated with such substantive topics as employment compliance matters, employment practices policies, discrimination, harassment, fair employment claims, unemployment benefits, wage and hour law, FMLA, ADA, employment contracts, employment compliance matters, affirmative action plans, and non-compete and non-solicitation agreements. 

In addition, Bryan represents public and private sector employers in collective bargaining and all aspects of labor-related litigation.  He also provides advice to local governments and school districts on all aspects of municipal law.

Bryan has a particular focus and interest in the transportation industry.  His blog, “The Employment and Labor Law Dispatcher” is hosted by BigTruckTV, the leading online media property for the trucking industry featuring outstanding videos and blogs from the industry's top experts and leading fleets. 


Bryan has recently counseled employers on:

 
  • Coached client through complicated and contentious termination and drafted separation and release agreement
  • Analyzed and revised employee handbook to be compliant with recent changes in the law
  • Provided valuable insight concerning risks associated with hiring prospective employee who signed non-compete agreement
  • Counseled client concerning proper administration of employee-leave laws

Recent litigation experience includes:

  • Secured Preliminary Injunction on behalf of client to protect trade secrets and confidential information
  • Obtained dismissal of sex-based discrimination lawsuit
  • Obtained reversal of administrative law judge in unemployment compensation dispute
  • Successfully conciliated lawsuit concerning alleged unpaid wages and overtime compensation
