Attorney Jeff Jones, 1954 - 2011
 It is with great sadness that we announce the July 30, 2011 passing of our colleague, Jeff Jones.
Since 1990 Jeff had been a shareholder at the law firm of Ruder Ware, L.L.S.C. He represented both private and public sector employers in all aspects of employment and labor law.
He was active in professional associations and activities, previously serving as a Director of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin and as a Director of the Wisconsin School Attorneys Association. He frequently wrote and presented on topics related to all aspects of the employment relationship in the private and public sectors.
Jeff proudly served in the United States Air Force. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School. After graduation, he began his legal career as a law clerk for Appellate Court Judge Gordon Myse and as an associate with the law firm of Mulcahy & Wherry, S.C.
Jeff was totally committed to his profession and highly respected by his clients and colleagues. Jeff had a unique ability to analyze and explain even the most difficult legal issues. His approach was straightforward and fair and his counsel empathetic and informed. His peers appreciated his solid thoughtfulness, sense of professional duty, and his common sense analysis.
In Jeff's honor, Ruder Ware has made a memorial donation to the American Heart Association and the Humane Society of Marathon County.
